Slow backup rates on Virtual host and guests

I have a Windows Server running 2008 R2 and its our Hyper-V host.   I also have 3 virtual servers running on that host, all are Server 2008 R2.  I'm running backup exec 2012 on the hyper-v host and the backup exec client on all the virtual guests.  I've noticed that the backups on the virtual host and guests are only running at a rate of about 30MB/min.
